About Aqueduct

altar.jpgAqueduct Conference Center is owned and operated by Mount Carmel Ministries, a not-for-profit organization. Mount Carmel was established in 2006 by Drew and Liza Howell, in order to carry on the vision that Tommy Tyson and New Life, Inc., began in 1969 as a base for the ministry of Tommy Tyson, a graduate of Duke University.

For more than 40 years, Rev. Tyson served as an evangelist in the North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, until his passing in 2002. In 1978, Tommy Tyson, his wife Frances and many friends of New Life, Inc., established Aqueduct to accommodate small group Christian Growth Conferences sponsored by New Life, Inc.

Mount Carmel Ministries is actively creating a new conference schedule, and continues to provide the surrounding business, academic, pastoral and non-profit community with an ideal place for conferences, meetings and seminars.
