Greetings from Aqueduct

Fall 2007

Dear Friends:
Since our last correspondence, we have had some interesting and exciting events at Aqueduct. Most memorable was our week-long art camp with kids from the Durham Rescue Mission. They blessed us with their energy and creative spirits daily. We are thankful for having the opportunity to share the resources of Aqueduct in such a meaningful way. We look forward to future endeavors where Mount Carmel Ministries works in partnership with local ministries to further the work of the body as an encouragement and affirmation.

Another objective that we have been pursuing in order to build up the body (and Bride) of Christ is to promote conferences. Our conference programs will always be aimed at the edification, encouragement and equipping of believers in Christ while evangelizing the non-believer in safe, no-pressure environment of speaking the truth in love.

Our first conference as Mount Carmel Ministries featured key note speaker Dr. Scott Sykes, M.D., who gave a comprehensive look at biblical prophecy and provided valuable insights about end times prophecy and current events. He did a wonderful job of answering some probing questions and the group profited from the intimate atmosphere. We learned many signs to watch for that Jesus said would be experienced during the end times. Dr. Sykes firmly believes in a pre-tribulation rapture. He made a convincing case that Scripture clearly points to a rapture that removes the Bride of Christ from the seven year period known as the tribulation. “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,” I Thess. 5:9.

I would not be surprised to see Dr. Sykes give a repeat performance in 2008 given the positive feedback we got from the attendees. Biblical prophecy not only includes a long list of astonishingly accurate prophecies, but is also relevant to our lives today. If you were unable to attend the conference, we recommend Dr. Sykes' book, Signs of the Coming Christ.

For our next conference we will host Mickey and Barbara Robinson, Oct. 4-7, 2007. We would love for you to join us for what is sure to be a time of renewal and transformation. Thank you for your prayers as we continue to offer Aqueduct to the Lord for His plans and purposes.

May He bless you and keep you wrapped in His embrace,
Drew and Liza
